The Bowmans have developed their artistic vision in many aspects of glass working, including architectural leaded glass, glass blowing and casting, kiln-worked glass, and glass and mixed media sculpture. They have done many commissioned projects for public spaces, corporate environments, hotels and restaurants, and private residential installations. Bowman Hot Glass also has an in-house showroom where their autonomous gallery work, including blown glass vessels and cast glass and mixed media sculpture, can be viewed and purchased.

Jim Bowman has been developing his expressions in glass for over 22 years. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in glass from California College of Arts and Crafts in 1988 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Kansas City Art Institute in 1976. He currently works out of his studio in Dallas, Texas with his wife Marylynn Devereux and a small staff.

Marylynn Devereux, Bowman's wife, works primarily in stained and fused glass. She has devoted much time in teaching art to young people, especially to at-risk and underpriviledged children, directing a show of young person's art at the Dallas Museum of Art in 1998.

Some of the more public works by Bowman and Devereux can be seen in and around downtown Dallas. A glass clock by Bowman sits at the Dart light-rail station in the West End, while a stained glass mural by Devereux and some of her students graces the Dart station in Oak Cliff.
The September 2007 Guild Usergroup meeting will be held at the Bowman Glass Studio. More details will be announced as they become available.
